Beyond the Campus

As a relief from the rigor of the classroom, many opportunities exist beyond the serenity of the campus, including excursions to destinations in Morocco and Spain, as well as being immersed in the community you'll call home.

Excursions

The UNE Morocco semester program includes an exciting itinerary of trips to nearby Moroccan destinations — plus a weekend trip to Seville, Spain. Destinations may vary from semester to semester, so please check with the Global Education Program office for the latest programming.

Volunteering

UNE student at La Crèche Orphanage in Tangier, Morocco

As part of the semester-long study abroad program, we offer a range of volunteer opportunities that help students give back to their new community and enhance their global learning. The university has formed partnerships with La Crèche Orphanage, SPANA (a local animal shelter), Croissant Rouge medical clinic, DARNA (Women & Children's Association) and other local organizations.

Moorish Tides

Write about your amazing experiences and submit them for publication at our magazine Moorish Tides. Your family, friends, and readers around the world will be impressed and grateful.

Academics

We offer a suite of courses that can meet the needs of all majors. Students will enjoy a variety of engaging courses taught in English, plus Arabic language study. All courses are approved by UNE faculty and count toward the core or the major. Please check with your advisers on how best to take advantage of UNE Morocco and make sure to plan ahead.

*Courses with fewer than five students will not enroll.

Cost

Program costs include classes, accommodations, meals, and an itinerary of group excursions.

UNE Students

UNE students keep all UNE scholarships and financial aid and are billed the same tuition as for a traditional on-campus semester, plus standard double room and board. Scholarships may be available; contact the Global Education team for more details.

Students from Other Universities

Non-UNE students pay UNE undergraduate semester tuition, general service fee, plus UNE standard double room and board. See Student Financial Services for current cost.

The Student Financial Services cost breakdown is for a full academic year. Divide by two for a single semester cost.
